The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, and the birds are singing here in South Carolina. It is officially spring! We take holidays and seasons very seriously around here and one of our favorite ways to prepare for the changing seasons is to decorate our front porch. Since I’ve launched my blog, you’ve seen my porch have several makeovers from being cozy in the fall, spooky around Halloween time, and full of buffalo plaid everything at Christmastime.
The front porch is the often the first appearance a guest will see when they arrive to your house. First impressions are everything and that is why I find it so important to decorate and keep this space fresh! Spring is one of my favorite seasons to decorate for since everything is in bloom and you can add as many pops of color to your porch as you like! Plus, it’s not a southern front porch without ferns flanking the doors!
We kept things super simple this year! Don’t underestimate the power of some potted plants, greenery, and colorful throw pillows. With spring cleaning underway, the porch was power washed, the mattress cover on our day bed was deep cleaned, and our winter throw pillows were tucked away for the season and replaced with bright, patterned ones! I love how crisp and clean the porch feels now. We’re praying the warm weather is here to stay so we can start spending more mornings in the rocking chairs sipping some iced tea!

What color on the porch flooring? Semi transparent or solid and brand of stain please. Does this color show dirt easily?
