Dessert: Chocolate-Covered Strawberries
A Valentine’s classic that’s as fun to make as it is to eat! Plus, it’s great to include the kids with this recipe once dinner has wrapped up.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh strawberries
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup white chocolate chips (optional, for drizzle)
- Sprinkles or crushed nuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries (moisture will prevent the chocolate from sticking).
- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring in between until smooth.
- Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- If desired, melt white chocolate chips and drizzle over the dipped strawberries for a decorative touch.
- Add sprinkles or crushed nuts before the chocolate sets.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes before serving.
