How We Use Rugs to Create Warmth in Our Home

From the moment we renovated and moved into our home, I knew I was in love with our white oak hardwoods. However, I also knew they made each room look rather large and no amount of furniture could really fill the space. Over the past few years, we have been on the hunt for the perfect rugs and runners! I get asked about these staple pieces all the time, so today I am sharing some of my favorites.

Rugs are such a simple way to liven up any room! We tend to lean toward lighter colors creating a sense of warmth with the tone of our hardwoods. By far my favorite room is our living room. The huge rug expands between both couches. We spend so much time there and the room has never once lost its coziness.

Our entryway rug is another one of my favorites because it is the first thing most people see when they walk into our home. And, I loved my kitchen runner so much, I also placed it in my master bathroom in the 3×5 size! I find these rugs to be super inviting and I can’t wait to fill our barn space up with more.
